This project involved the total reimagination and repurposing of an underutilized meeting and events space on the second floor of the Celebration Cinema North location.

The goal? To create a space that would be more attractive, more functional, more engaged in the life of the venue and business.

To accomplish that, this project involved ambitious design changes, including removing a wall, opening up the ceiling, a new tile floor, an impressive new audio/visual system and a custom bar.

Remaking a space like this one takes a lot of imagination, and sometimes the vision changes along the way. Honor’s background in repurposing and converting spaces allowed them to remain flexible to the process, accommodating changes and offering input from their experience. Honor’s knowledge and background in remodels like this one also kept the buildout progression smooth, giving Celebration Cinema’s team time to focus on how to make the most of their newest room resource.

Now, the fully remodelled space overlooks the main lobby of the complex, offering private events a view of the activity below from behind a glass pane sound barrier. What was previously a series of underused rooms has now become an appealing, versatile space that can be rented out for meetings or events or used as an alternative work location for Celebration Cinema’s team.

The space has become a more usable, more appealing, and
more accessible.

"We started this project because we recognized an opportunity to take a space that had a lot of potential and fill two needs that we saw for our organization’s future: Additional second floor events space, and a creative alternative workspace for our team. As the workforce evolves, we want to be able to provide incoming talent with multiple dynamic environments in which to complete their work, and this space was a perfect canvas. We chose Honor for this project because Honor’s background repurposing spaces made them a perfect fit. From day one, they were extremely responsive and helpful. As the project went on, it continued to evolve, and they were able to accommodate changes that came out of the developing vision. They did a great job. I would highly recommend them to others."
